Job Description

Overview New up and coming family owned business seeking a motivated and dependable Subcontractor/Laborer to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of various construction projects, assisting with a wide range of tasks that contribute to the successful completion of residential, commercial, or industrial builds. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment. We work with local realty companies and landlords/home owners throughout Toledo and surrounding areas, and need workers who are able and willing to do quick last minutes jobs as they come in some being emergent as well as long term rehabs/remodels of homes and businesses. Responsibilities Assist with the preparation and setup of construction sites, including material handling and equipment staging Operate hand tools and power tools safely to perform tasks such as framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing Support skilled tradespeople with tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, roofing, or masonry as needed Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of work Perform demolition, cleanup, and site restoration activities to maintain a safe and organized work environment Contribute to quality control by inspecting work for adherence to plans and safety standards Must be able to assess and give estimate including inventory needed for job and add in labor cost- being both reasonable and cost efficient as possible Experience Prior experience in construction or related trades is preferred-6mon plus Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics, and construction management practices is a plus Knowledge of safety protocols and proper use of hand tools and power tools is essential Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform demolition or restoration work is desirable Strong work ethic with the ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively in a team environment Join us if you're eager to build your career in construction!
