Job Description

Job Summary:
The ECS Construction Laborer is responsible for operating equipment used for construction projects (saws, drills, hammers, jackhammers, levels, tape measurement) used for assembling walls, structures, roofs, frames, concrete, furniture as well as lifting heavy materials. This role requires following directions from supervisors and other skilled tradesmen. This position involves completing various construction projects for a variety of tribally owned commercial and/or medical facilities to the highest standards of client satisfaction.
Job Duties:
Operate and care for construction equipment and machines. Construct walls, hang sheetrock, install ceiling, install flooring, paint, prep for plumbing and electrical, clean sites, install windows, install doors, poor concrete and any other duty assigned. Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled laborers when necessary. Prep construction sites by cleaning obstacles and hazards. Load or unload construction materials. Assemble and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding. Remove, fill, or compact earth. Follow instructions from supervisors. Assist craft workers. Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Prior construction experience preferred, especially in commercial settings. Ability to do physical labor and other strenuous physical tasks. Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours). Must be able to work in inclement weather. Ability to stoop, bend, pull, and safely lift up to 75 pounds regularly. Strong attention to detail and safety protocols. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Ability to operate hand and power tools according to safety guidelines. Good understanding of basic math. Good physical condition and endurance. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License and clear a background check. Must be able to pass a drug screen test. Must be at least 18 years of age.
