Job Description
This classification is a safety-sensitive position as defined by the United States Department of Transportation drug and alcohol testing regulations and/or the Oklahoma Standards for Workplace Drug and Alcohol Testing Act. As a safety-sensitive classification, you will be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including random testing. Marijuana is one of the substances included in the drug panel screening. Possession of a medical marijuana certification will not excuse you from the testing process, or the consequences of testing positive for marijuana.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
Candidate will perform day to day maintenance and restoration work in the construction and operations of City of Yukon's streets, signal lights and storm drainage facilities. It is expected that the candidate will choose to display an

daily and show an uncompromising willingness to cooperate and treat fellow employees with respect.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1.Routine inspection and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment 2.Patching, painting and repairing of streets, curbs and signal lights 3.Cleaning of drainage structures 4.Mowing and edging of street easements 5.Clearing of roads when needed 6.Snow and Ice prevention and removal operations (May be required to work nights) 7.Installation and repair of street signs 8.Operating and maintaining small engine equipment 9.Physically demanding; Lifting objects of 100 lbs or less, Bending, Kneeling and Stoppingfor long periods of time, 10.Perform any other related duties as required or assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid Oklahoma Driver's License
PREFERRED CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Class A/B CDL - should be obtained within the first year of employment
EQUIPMENT AND MACHINE USE
Candidate must have the capability to use and to learn to use all equipment within the street department.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Candidate will be exposed to the following: 1.Outdoor weather conditions ranging from freezing to extremely hot 2.Moving mechanical parts 3.Heights between 10' to 40'high 4.Toxic or caustic chemicals 5.Wet or humid conditions 6.Loud noises and other conditions
