Construction General Laborer - Excavation

Job Summary Tripeak Contractors Inc. is accepting applications for the position of Construction General Laborer - Excavation. This position supports excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation work for residential, commercial, and public works projects. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years experience in the industry, possess a strong work ethic, and be willing to learn. Duties Assist equipment operators with excavation and trenching tasks Dig, backfill, grade, and compact soil using hand and power tools Install underground utilities including pipe, conduit, manholes, and vaults Use rotary laser, grade rod, and/or GPS to check grade Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment Perform maintenance on tools and equipment Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site Follow all safety procedures and guidelines Perform general labor duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting up to 75 lbs) Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions Two years experience performing construction general labor duties Experience using hand tools such as shovels and rakes to hand grade small areas Experience using gas and diesel powered tools such as demo saws and chain saws Experience using various compaction equipment such as plate compactors and jumping jacks Strong work ethic, reliability, ability to follow directions, and work as part of a team Willingness to work overtime as needed Valid driver's license Pass pre-employment drug screen Reliable transportation to job sites

Pay:

$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
