Full Job Description Experienced Demolition Laborer/Foreman Position:
Diplomat Demolition is looking for experienced demolition laborers/foremen to join our team. This position performs advanced structural dismantling, hazardous material abatement, and heavy equipment operation.
The key responsibilities are below:
Hazard Identification:
Inspect sites to identify and report structural risks and toxic substances like asbestos or lead.
Utility Disconnection:
Verify that utilities (gas, water, and electricity) are properly shut off before dismantling begins
Strip-Outs:
Systematically remove fixtures, fittings, doors, windows, and non-load-bearing walls prior to heavy mechanical demolition.
Cutting & Breaking:
Operate hydraulic shears, jackhammers, oxy-acetylene torches, and electrical saws to cut apart steel girders and break up concrete.
Heavy Machinery:
Operate specialized plant machinery such as skid steers, excavators, and mechanical crushers.
Sorting & Salvage:
Separate reusable or high-value materials (such as structural steel, copper wiring, and architectural salvage) from general waste.
Debris Removal:
Load heavy rubble, scrap, and hazardous waste onto trucks or into waste containers for proper disposal.
OSHA Certification:
An OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour card is generally required for hazard recognition and safety standards. (Preferred•but not required)
Hours:
Full Time•8 hour days•40 days a week
