Iron Mountain is seeking a skilled and versatile Construction Technician to join our Facilities and Underground Operations in Boyers, PA. You will be responsible for executing a wide range of technical trades including stone infrastructure management, electrical work, HVAC maintenance, and general construction. You will work both independently and as part of a team to renovate existing developed areas and create newly developed space, ensuring all tasks are performed with strict adherence to safety requirements and regulations. What You'll Do (Responsibilities) In this role, you will:
Execute Specialized Underground Construction:
Perform scaling, roof brushing, bolting, and stone infrastructure tasks (including Rhino Liner and Shotcrete application) to maintain the integrity of the underground facility.
Maintain Systems & Infrastructure:
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systems (single/three-phase), HVAC equipment (chillers, air handlers, dehumidifiers), and plumbing/piping systems.
Operate Heavy Machinery:
Safely operate a variety of equipment including skid loaders, excavators, forklifts, and telescoping lifts to complete site development and maintenance. Collaborate on
Facility Upgrades:
Work closely with the Construction Supervisor and Section Leads to renovate spaces, including carpentry, drywall installation, masonry, and the installation of security/alarm systems.
Ensure Safety & Compliance:
Adhere to all Lockout/Tagout protocols, NFPA 70E Electrical Safe Work Practices, and organizational safety standards to maintain a secure working environment. What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications) The ideal candidate will have:
Proven Multi-Trade Experience:
Significant hands-on experience in construction, facility maintenance, or industrial trades, ideally in a mining or underground environment.
Technical Proficiency:
Strong functional knowledge of electrical (Ohm's Law, fiber termination), mechanical (HVAC monitoring), and masonry skills (laying block, concrete repair).
Equipment Mastery:
Demonstrated ability to operate heavy machinery and common power tools, alongside the ability to read and edit design drawings and schematics.
Physical & Technical Agility:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in an underground setting while utilizing Google Workspace and electronic testing equipment for reporting and monitoring.
Specialized Skills:
Proficiency in door/lock repairs (Best lock systems) and rigging support structures (steel posts/beams). What We Offer (Benefits)

Starting at $25.00/hr ( •Negotiations Depending on Experience ),
Bi-Weekly Direct Deposit Shift:
Monday through Friday 6 AM to 2:30
