Full-time Company Overview:

Graf Custom Construction is a custom home builder and general contractor. Among other items, we self perform our own excavation and site development projects, along with subcontracting excavation and utility installation services to numerous other clients. We are looking to add one or two additional team members to our crews. We are a small company based out of Harmony, PA, and we take our employee relationships seriously. Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, skid loaders, bulldozers, rollers, among other equipment.
• Safely and efficiently perform excavation and earthmoving tasks.
• Install various underground utilities including storm water and drainage pipe, sewer, domestic water, gas, and electric/phone/cable.
• Excavation for residential and commercial foundations and footings
• Follow project plans and specifications to complete assigned tasks
• Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment.
• Although we are looking for a "machine operator," it is understood that as part of machine operation, working in the ditch or "outside of the cab" on whatever the scope of work is, is expected at times. This is not a job for a "joystick jockey."
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and OSHA protocols.
• Reliability and good overall demeanor is required and expected.

Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Proficient in the operation of excavators, loaders, bulldozers, among other equipment.
• Commercial(CDL) driving experience is a plus, but not required
• Familiarity with dump truck operation
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Residential excavation and utility installation is a major plus
