American Pool is the largest commercial pool management company in the United States, offering staffing, maintenance, and renovation services with a focus and dedication to safety. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a key role in supporting this mission by assisting with commercial pool construction, renovation, and site preparation projects while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on every job site.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform a wide range of general labor tasks under the direction of site supervisors and team leads. Assist with site preparation, including digging trenches, grading, leveling, and backfilling. Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently. Operate basic hand and power tools in a safe and effective manner. Support skilled tradespeople with installation of structural components, pool fixtures, and related systems. Maintain a clean and organized worksite, including debris removal and proper storage of materials. Follow all safety procedures and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Identify and report unsafe conditions, hazards, or incidents promptly. Work collaboratively with crew members to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in construction, general labor, pool repairs or a related field preferred. Proficiency with basic hand tools and power tools. Strong work ethic with a positive attitude and willingness to learn. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed. Valid Driver's License with a good driving record required; ability to travel between job sites.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy materials and equipment (up to 85+ lbs). Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions (heat, rain, cold). Comfortable working in and around water environments. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and travel between job sites.
SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS
Construction Laborers require flexible schedules and may work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and overtime depending on project and business needs. Availability during peak summer months is essential. Employees must be available to work summer holidays and corresponding weekends, including Memorial Day, Juneteenth, Fourth of July, and Labor Day.

LOCATION
This position reports to the Construction Department Manager and requires travel to various job sites within the designated service area. Candidates should be based within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned American Pool office location.
