Construction Laborer

Laborer A laborer typically performs a wide range of duties to complete the project or work. Depending on the job, they may be installing compost filter sock, erosion control blanket, straw blanket, geotextile fabric, hydroseeding, supporting other construction operations, and/or other types of work. Gather and load/unload materials and assist in loading/unloading equipment; Ensure all tools and materials are clean and put away each day; Assist operators with greasing of equipment, cleaning tracks, and/or fueling; Communicate with foreman on what type of work needs to be performed, and ensure understanding and consensus on the approach to be used; Safely and efficiently perform the work to ensure a high-quality result; Coordinate and communicate with other crew members; Provide information as needed for FMP reports; Follow all safety protocols and quality standards; Serve as a flagger for traffic, as needed; Represent the company with professionalism; Ensures that the job site is neat and clean before the crew leaves for the day; Perform job duties as assigned; and Perform other duties as assigned. Ability to listen, read, comprehend, and carry out instructions Knowledge of using tools and equipment Hand/foot/eye coordination Attention to detail Positive work attitude and disposition; works well with others Understands applicable safety requirements and expectations Strong communication skills Reliability and punctuality Able to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials, standing for long hours, and working in various weather conditions.
