Non-Exempt Position following the Teamsters Local Union No. 429 CBA Position will remain open until June 1, 2026. About the Township Exeter Township is a vibrant community located in southeastern Berks County, Pennsylvania, approximately 6 miles east of Reading. With a population of around 25,500, it is the third-most populous municipality in the county. Covering roughly 24 square miles, the Township offers a mix of suburban neighborhoods, historical landmarks, and scenic natural areas. Position Overview Exeter Township is seeking a dedicated and hardworking individual to perform a variety of skilled and semi-skilled maintenance projects and road duties. General Duties Perform general labor duties to support public works projects, including but not limited to road maintenance, landscaping, and facility upkeep. Assist in the construction, repair, and maintenance of public infrastructure, such as roads, sidewalks, and drainage systems. Operate and maintain hand and power tools, as well as small construction equipment. Participate in seasonal activities, including snow removal, leaf collection, and other weather-related tasks. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. Support community events and projects as needed. Working Conditions Monday - Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm This position may work in all types of outside weather conditions while completing repairs. Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must have general experience in driving standard shift vehicles and knowledge of general outdoor work. Must hold a valid Class A, PA Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with tanker endorsement, or willing to obtain one within a nine (9) month period.
