Job Description
Duties Include Perform various labor tasks related to heavy construction operations Safely guide vehicles and equipment operating in reverse to ensure no accidents occur Coordinate vehicle and equipment into and around the work site, as directed Properly use and care for power tools Properly use and care of hand tools Proactively communicate with company personnel concerning equipment and job-related projects or problems Work in trenches or other confined spaces Maintain orderly job sites by performing general housekeeping duties Assist Lowboy driver with proper loading and unloading tiedown procedures Wear personal protective equipment on site Work in a safe manner around heavy equipment Working more than 40 hours per week as needed Working nights and weekends as needed Out of town travel may be required Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction Ability to: Recognize problems or errors at a work site Be on time, reliable and dependable with the work schedule Follow company policies and procedures Take and follow instructions Work under direct and indirect supervision Safely walk and climb through uneven terrain Work with fuel and other petroleum products Lift and carry up to 50 pounds Push a force of 80 pounds Pull a force of 150 pounds Walk, work, bend, lift, and stand on uneven terrain for extended periods of time Shovel and use other hand tools Work in a shop or field environment and tolerate exposure to dust, welding fumes, exhaust fumes, hot/cold temperatures, extreme/inclement weather, vibrations, noise and compact spaces
