Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Fuel and Lube Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing essential vehicle maintenance tasks, including fueling, lubrication, and basic repairs, to ensure optimal performance and safety of a wide range of equipment and vehicles. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with heavy machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive systems in a fast-paced environment. Your expertise will directly contribute to maintaining operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Duties Perform fueling operations for various types of vehicles and heavy equipment safely and efficiently Conduct routine oil changes, lubrication, and fluid top-offs on farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive vehicles Assist with basic repairs such as brake adjustments, tire service, and fluid leaks using hand tools and power tools Use OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and technical manuals to diagnose common issues Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or tractor-trailers for maintenance or logistical purposes Conduct inspections on transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components to identify potential problems Support more complex repair tasks including welding, fabrication, or assembly as needed under supervision Maintain detailed records of service performed and parts used in compliance with safety standards Ensure all work complies with safety regulations including proper handling of hazardous materials and heavy lifting procedures Skills Hands-on experience working with heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm equipment Knowledge of OEM parts specifications for Caterpillar or similar brands; ability to read technical manuals accurately Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and vehicle maintenance tools Ability to perform diesel engine repairs, brake repairs, alignments, HVAC servicing, and transmission work Experience with electrical systems troubleshooting and automotive diagnostics is highly desirable Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Capable of heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during repairs or inspections Familiarity with tire service procedures and general vehicle maintenance practices Ability to operate heavy equipment safely while adhering to all safety protocols Travel Travel may occasionally be required. Required Education and Experience High School diploma or GED. Diesel and hydraulic experience. Basic computer skills. Valid driver's license.
