This role leads a crew, ensures high‑quality turnkey landscape installation, and keeps projects on schedule. We are looking for someone with strong leadership, hands‑on installation skills, and experience in landscape construction. What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Paid Time Off (PTO) Year‑round, steady work Consistent hours with additional Saturday bonuses Opportunities for advancement Organized project planning and strong management support Key Responsibilities Lead a landscape installation crew on residential and commercial job sites Install plants, trees, sod, mulch, hardscape materials, and irrigation components Read and follow landscape plans, layouts, and project specifications Maintain jobsite quality, safety, and productivity Delegate tasks and manage daily workflow Communicate progress, material needs, and issues to project managers Organize and update project schedule and materials on our planning software Operate equipment such as skid steers, trenchers, and compactors Train and mentor crew members Track labor and materials for job costing Qualifications 3+ years of landscape installation experience 1+ year of crew lead or foreman experience preferred Strong knowledge of plants, hardscape materials, and installation techniques Ability to read and execute landscape plans Experience operating landscape equipment Valid driver's license and clean driving record Strong communication and leadership skills Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions Preferred Experience Leading crews on landscape construction projects Grading, drainage, and site preparation Irrigation installation and troubleshooting Paver installation, hardscape layout, and synthetic installs Training or developing crew members Identifying jobsite issues and proposing solutions Understanding jobsite efficiency and workflow About Artisan Landscapes Artisan Landscapes is a professional landscaping company based in Charleston, SC, specializing in high-quality residential and commercial landscape design, installation, and maintenance.
