Job Description

Overview We are looking for an individual to join our Western South Dakota Community Action Family to be a crew lead for our Weatherization Department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in construction and be proficient in multiple trades. As a Crew Leader, you will ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the crew on construction sites. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Oversee weatherization tasks, including but not limited to insulation installation, window and door sealing or replacement and duct sealing. Supervise all aspects of the work done by the crew. Providing guidance and training in all aspects of the technical work to bring all work to required standards Complete required file, training and other program documentation Attend seminars, workshops, conference and/or other job-related training sessions assigned. Track and maintain CEUs as required by certifications and licenses Communicate with supervisor any problems, client complaints, issues at the worksite and or complications requiring additional time on jobs Experience 2-year degree in a related field plus four (4) years related experience; Or High School Diploma, GED plus six (6) years of related experience; OR any combination of the above. Experience in weatherization and blown-in insulation preferred. Experience leading teams or managing projects is essential. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail are required. Strong communication skills to effectively lead a team and interact with clients or project managers. Valid South Dakota driver's license with no major violations within the past three (3) years. $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
