Schedule:
Monday•Friday, minimum 40 hours per week; occasional overtime or Saturdays may be required

Millan Enterprises Position Overview We are seeking dependable and hardworking Utility Construction Laborers to support underground utility and excavation crews. This position involves laying water lines, sewer lines, storm drainage systems, and related construction activities in residential and commercial areas. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working outdoors in demanding environments around heavy equipment. Key Responsibilities Assist crews with installation of water lines, sewer lines, and underground utility systems Work in and around trenches, excavation areas, and active construction zones Help install and align underground piping and utility connections Assist with manhole installation, concrete work, and basic masonry tasks as needed Load, unload, and move construction materials and tools Assist equipment operators and pipe layers during utility installation Perform site cleanup and maintain safe work areas Follow safety procedures and supervisor instructions at all times Work efficiently to maintain production schedules and deadlines
Qualifications Required:
Ability to work outdoors in heat, cold, mud, and varying weather conditions Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the workday Ability to stand, bend, lift, carry, and work outdoors for extended periods Comfortable working around excavation equipment, trenches, and uneven terrain Safety-conscious mindset and ability to follow directions
Preferred:
Previous experience in construction, excavation, underground utilities, pipe laying, or masonry 6 months to 1 year of related construction experience Experience using construction hand tools and power tools Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred for at least one position Strong work ethic, reliability, and team-oriented attitude
Compensation & Benefits Pay Rate:
$21.00/hr•$22.00/hr, commensurate with experience Work Environment On-site position across residential and commercial construction sites. This role requires extended periods of outdoor physical activity in varying weather conditions. Workers will operate hand and power tools and work in and around trenches, excavation areas, and heavy equipment.
