Project Manager Job Summary:

The General Laborer performs essential physical tasks to support construction and maintenance operations. This role involves preparing job sites, handling materials, operating equipment, and performing minor repairs. Laborers help maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment while assisting skilled traders and contributing to the overall success of the project. Flexibility, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic are key to thriving in this hands-on role

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Preparation Clean and prepare construction sites by removing debris and hazards Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment Assemble and disassemble scaffolding and temporary structures Perform general building maintenance and minor roofing repairs Maintain workspace cleanliness and organization 2. Equipment Handling & Repairs Operate light and heavy equipment as directed Perform minor plumbing repairs and basic equipment maintenance Move tools and materials according to project plans or supervisor instructions Conduct asphalt and pothole repairs as needed 3. Safety & Support Follow all safety standards and site protocols Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors Assist skilled tradespeople as needed Perform specialized tasks with on-the-job training

Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience Proven prior experience in construction or general labor (preferred) Forklift certification (required or willing to obtain) Familiarity with basic tools and equipment Technical Skills Ability to read labels, safety warnings, and guidelines Skilled in using job-specific equipment and tools Soft Skills Strong attention to detail and safety awareness Ability to follow instructions and work independently or in a team Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing tasks Must be able to understand English Work Environment Outdoor and indoor construction sites Must have experience in industrial construction Exposure to varying weather conditions and physical demands Requires lifting, climbing, and standing for extended periods You must wear appropriate safety gear and follow site regulations

Pay:

$18.00 - $25.00 per hour
