Competitive - Based on experience Position Overview We are seeking a Construction Crew Lead who leads from the front. This is a hands-on role , not a sit-back supervisor position. You will be on the tools daily , completing work alongside the crew while coordinating tasks, setting daily priorities, and ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency on site. This role is ideal for someone with strong all-around construction knowledge —a jack-of-all-trades type—who understands that clear communication is the most important skill in keeping a project moving smoothly. Key Responsibilities Work on-site daily performing construction tasks alongside the crew Lead and coordinate a small team by delegating daily tasks clearly and efficiently Review daily job goals and ensure the crew understands expectations Maintain quality control across all phases of work Communicate progress, issues, and material needs with management Read and interpret basic plans, scopes, and job details Ensure job sites remain clean, organized, and safe Train and guide crew members when needed Identify problems early and communicate solutions Required Skills & Experience Strong hands-on experience in multiple construction trades , including: Framing Windows and doors Flooring Drywall Painting General finish work Comfortable being a "jack of all trades" (master of none is acceptable) Ability to lead while working , not just direct from the sidelines Solid understanding of construction sequencing Ability to adapt to changing job conditions Must-Have Traits (Non-Negotiable) Excellent communication skills - this is our #1 requirement Clear verbal communication with crew and management Ability to explain tasks, expectations, and corrections respectfully Willingness to ask questions and speak up when issues arise Dependable and punctual Strong work ethic and positive attitude Problem solver, not a finger-pointer Professional conduct with coworkers and clients Preferred (But Not Required) Prior crew lead or foreman experience Ability to estimate time and materials for tasks Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic tool set What We Offer Steady, year-round work Competitive pay based on skill and leadership ability Opportunity to grow into larger leadership roles Respectful, team-oriented work environment Projects where quality and communication matter
