Construction Laborers have many duties on job sites that help work run smoother, including cleaning and preparing sites to ensure debris is properly removed, building scaffolding and other temporary structures, operating and maintaining equipment and digging trenches. They may also assist workers from other trades with their work. Your construction laborer job description should include the need for outstanding physical abilities, as these workers commonly lift heavy materials and trash. Mechanical skills are also important because laborers can utilize equipment such as boom machines and jackhammers. Primary Duties and Responsibilities Operate and care for construction equipment and machines. Help equipment operators, carpenters, and other skilled labor when necessary.
