Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic construction team as a Construction Laborer and be a vital part of transforming blueprints into reality! In this energetic role, you will assist with a wide range of construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards. Your hands-on involvement will support everything from foundational work to finishing touches, helping bring building visions to life. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills across various construction disciplines while contributing to impactful projects. Responsibilities Assist with site preparation, including clearing and organizing work areas for upcoming tasks. Perform heavy lifting and manual labor such as moving materials, tools, and equipment around the site. Operate power tools and hand tools safely for tasks like framing, drywall installation, or concrete finishing. Support concrete work by assisting with mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces. Install rebar and metal studs according to schematics and blueprints to reinforce structures. Help with masonry tasks such as laying bricks or blocks, applying stucco or plaster, and restoring existing structures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to ensure accurate execution of tasks. Operate heavy equipment like forklifts or concrete pumps when trained and certified. Assist in roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, or trim carpentry as needed on diverse projects. Support renovation and restoration efforts by preparing surfaces, caulking gaps, or performing demolition work under supervision. Skills Strong mechanical knowledge coupled with practical experience in construction environments. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and effectively. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings for accurate task execution. Knowledge of construction estimating principles to assist in project planning. Familiarity with concrete forming, finishing techniques, and concrete pumping operations. Understanding of masonry techniques including bricklaying, stucco application, and metal stud framing. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining proper ergonomics. Experience working on construction sites with adherence to safety protocols and regulations. Basic carpentry skills such as framing, trim carpentry, or roofing are highly desirable. Knowledge of restoration processes including plastering and renovation work is a plus.
