WHAT'S YOUR DAY LIKE?

As a Full-Time Broadband Laborer with the City of Pharr, you will play a vital role in the execution of construction tasks crucial for underground telecommunications cable and fiber placement. Your responsibilities will include loading and delivering materials, operating various hand tools and mechanical equipment such as trenchers, mini excavators, and trenchless piercing tools. Collaboration is key, as you will assist team members in manual labor activities and contribute to site restoration efforts, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Additionally, you will operate a utility trailer for transporting essential equipment and materials, while also completing administrative duties like closing work orders and uploading photos as directed by the Fiber Manager. This position will require you to run fiber and network cables as needed, allowing you to directly impact our community's connectivity and innovation.
