DNT Construction is now hiring several General Laborers for our Austin Wet Utilities Austin area projects! The Wet Utilities Department supports the underground utility systems by properly backfilling and compacting trenches after pipe installation. To be considered for the role: Ideally, you will have 1 year of experience in a construction-related role, A willingness to learn and reliable transportation to and from the job site. A work week averages 40 to 60 hours. This job is labor-intensive, and you will be working outside!

Responsibilities:
Assist with installation of wet utilities including water, wastewater, storm drains, retention systems, and underground fire lines Perform physical labor tasks such as trenching, grading, pipe handling, and backfilling Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites Operate or assist with hand tools and small machinery (e.g., compactors, quickie saw, shovels, etc.) Support equipment operators and pipe crews as directed Adhere to all safety regulations and participate in job site safety meetings Assist with setup and takedown of traffic control devices and construction signage Work in coordination with crew members to complete daily tasks on schedule.
