Job Description
Job Purpose This is an Entry Level Firestopping Laborer/Installer position. This involves installing products to seal openings and penetrations in fire-rated walls or floors to bring construction up to proper life safety codes. Once trained, installers are responsible for labeling and documenting appropriately. Organize daily work area, materials, and keep workspace and equipment clean. We expect you to adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards. Responsibilities
- Works independently under supervision
- Perform daily tasks accurately according to direction given
- Utilize basic trade related tools
- Basic verbal and digital communication skills
- Basic firestop and fireproofing
- Basic drywall repairs
- Satisfy internal performance requirements Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid REAL ID driver license.
- Must have reliable transportation to travel to and from job sites.
- Must pass drug screen and criminal background check to work on job specific sites
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to be on your feet for an 8-hour shift
- Ability to climb up and down ladders
- Ability to work from ladders or man-lifts for extended periods
- Must have basic knowledge of hand and power equipment Additional Requirements
- Basic knowledge of computer programs (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel), mobile phone apps and Email.
- Maintain professional, timely, communication with customers and coworkers.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail.
- Must be flexible and able to work occasional overtime.
- Occasional travel a possibility (paid travel incentive, per diem, hotel).
- General construction experience preferred, but not required.
- Previous firestopping experience preferred, but not required. Benefits
