Laborer - Skilled & Unskilled (Civil Construction) 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 2649 Production Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23454 Full-time Trident Civil 9 reviews Full-time Trident Civil is a growing civil construction contractor specializing in concrete structures, site development, utilities, and infrastructure projects. We are committed to delivering safe, high-quality work while building long-term relationships with our clients and employees. We are currently hiring full-time General Laborers to join our Water/Sewer line crews. People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply. Position Type This is not a Remote position. This position operates in an in-person work environment.
Responsibilities:
Abide by all safety and security regulations on the job site. Assist in preparing the work site at the beginning of each shift. Handle and stage materials as needed for construction activities. Follow directions from the site Foreman or Superintendent. Collaborate effectively with team members to complete tasks. Assist in installing storm drains, water, and sewer mains, including service connections. Participate in daily clean-up and return tools and equipment at the end of each shift. Lift 50+ pounds and carry, push, or pull heavy objects as required. Stay attentive and mindful of surroundings to maintain a safe work environment. Wear protective equipment/gear as necessary (gloves, eye wear, hard hats, steel-toed boots, etc.). Other duties as assigned Education / Years of Experience 0-10 years of experience as a Laborer in any industry, construction industry preferred. Skills Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Credentials:
Valid drivers license preferred Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and must be able to provide documentation verifying employment eligibility.
Availability:
Full time (40 hours) : Monday - Friday Possibility of overtime. May require Saturday or Sunday work.
Work Site Environment:
Near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust, asphalt and raw sewer.

Travel:
Candidates must currently reside within commuting distance of the Hampton Roads region, including Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Norfolk, Suffolk, Newport News, or Portsmouth. Candidates are responsible for their own transportation to and from work locations. This role requires regular travel to project and job sites as part of normal job responsibilities. Local candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates slightly outside the described region who are comfortable with an extended commute are welcome to apply. Essential Physical Functions Ability to travel to and access active construction sites. Ability to walk and stand for extended periods while inspecting project sites. Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and navigate scaffolding or uneven terrain when necessary. Ability to occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, or reach while reviewing work areas or site conditions. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, wind, and rain, during site visits. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility vests, and protective footwear while on construction sites. Ability to safely navigate active construction environments that may include noise, dust, moving equipment, and other construction-related hazards. Ability to occasionally lift or carry materials, documents, or equipment up to 50 pounds .
