Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and dependable Laborer/Shingler to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting roofing projects and various construction tasks, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency on site. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop hands-on skills in roofing, carpentry, and general construction while contributing to high-quality building projects. Duties Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools, power tools, and scaffolding. Support framing, metal stud framing, and trim carpentry tasks to prepare surfaces for roofing or other finishing work. Read blueprints and schematics to accurately follow project specifications and ensure proper installation. Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, metal panels, concrete forms, and other construction components safely and efficiently. Use caulking, tile laying tools, and masonry techniques for restoration or remodeling projects as needed. Operate power tools safely while adhering to all safety protocols on construction sites. Assist with fabrication and installation of stucco, drywall, or other exterior finishes to meet project standards. Qualifications Prior experience in construction site work or roofing is highly preferred. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, blueprints reading, and basic construction estimating. Knowledge of roofing techniques including shingling and waterproofing methods. Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks consistently. Experience with framing carpentry, metal stud framing, plumbing, masonry, or welding is a plus. Strong attention to detail with excellent safety awareness on active job sites.
