Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder Helper/Laborer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will assist skilled welders in preparing materials, handling tools, and ensuring smooth workflow on construction and manufacturing sites. Responsibilities Assist welders with setup, positioning, and securing materials for various welding processes such as MIG (Metal Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), and <

> specific welding standards. Prepare work areas by cleaning, grinding, and aligning components according to schematics and blueprints. Handle hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, calipers, and other mechanical instruments safely and efficiently. Support the installation of fire sprinkler systems, piping, HVAC components, and pipeline assemblies by assisting with cutting, bending, soldering, and fitting tasks. Read schematics and blueprints to understand project specifications and ensure accurate assembly or installation. Perform basic math calculations for measurements, material estimations, and layout marking. Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and materials while adhering to safety protocols on construction or manufacturing sites. Support rigging operations for lifting heavy materials or equipment safely into position during assembly or installation processes. Experience Prior experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates. Familiarity with welding techniques such as MIG, FCAW, TIG, as well as pipe threading and tube bending is highly desirable. Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to welding and piping is a plus. Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, calipers, and basic math skills are essential for success in this role. Understanding of plumbing systems, HVAC components, or fire sprinkler fitting will be advantageous. Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining a focus on safety is critical for this position.
