Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic Public Works team as a Laborer dedicated to maintaining and improving community infrastructure. This energetic role involves hands-on work across a variety of construction and maintenance projects, ensuring safe, efficient, and high-quality public spaces. Duties Operate heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, dump trucks, and front loader trucks to assist in roadwork, grading, excavation, and paving projects Assist with construction activities including site preparation, material handling, and infrastructure repairs Conduct utility locating to identify underground utilities before excavation or construction work begins Support paving operations by preparing surfaces and assisting with asphalt placement Maintain safety protocols by inspecting equipment and work sites regularly Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet safety standards Perform routine maintenance on machinery and tools to ensure optimal performance Qualifications Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, or dump trucks is highly preferred Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with construction processes and safety procedures Knowledge of utility locating techniques and equipment is a plus Ability to operate Caterpillar machinery or similar brands confidently Strong physical stamina for outdoor work in varying weather conditions Basic understanding of construction safety standards and practices Willingness to learn new skills related to heavy equipment operation and construction tasks This role offers an engaging environment where your efforts directly impact community development. Pay:
$12.00 - $14.00 per hour
