We specialize in delivering high-performance insulation solutions for commercial environments including healthcare, semiconductors, education, government, office, hospitality, retail, and industrial facilities. Chaparral is seeking an experienced Specialty Construction Manager to lead project sales, operations, and client relations for various types of projects. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in project management, construction operations, and industry codes, combined with excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Position Description:
Develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets. Allocate resources effectively, managing staffing, materials, tracking costs accordingly. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives and deadlines. Supervise, mentor, and support project managers, site supervisors, and field teams. Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations to maintain high standards of productivity. Track and report field productivity to corporate leadership. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Build and maintain strong client relationships to ensure satisfaction and repeat business. Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors to coordinate project requirements. Ensure all project work is completed according to industry standards, specifications, and regulations. Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety. Ensure compliance with local building codes, OSHA, and company safety policies. Manage project budgets, reviewing costs, tracking expenses, and ensuring profitability. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or safety. Prepare and present monthly bills and financial reports, schedule of values, etc. Anticipate potential project risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies. Resolve project issues promptly to minimize delays and cost overruns.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or a related field preferred but not required. 7+ years of construction management experience. Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore). Strong understanding of construction materials, heavy commercial application and trade coordination, and safety standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to travel to job sites and manage multiple projects concurrently.
