EARTHWORK SUPERINTENDENT
The Earthwork Superintendent provides day to day oversight and direction to the foremen and field personnel assigned to on-site construction projects. This role responsible for protecting and promoting the interests and values of the company in all matters and to take actions as required to satisfy responsibilities. The Earthwork Superintendent brings specialized knowledge and experience in executing projects for his or her specialty area.
Responsibilities:
Prepare for project startup with the General Superintendent or Project Manager. Execute project activities as required to meet day-to-day and overall objectives. Understand and apply the requirements in project documents regarding quality control procedures such as testing, shop drawings, material approvals, samples, mock-ups, execution of the work, etc. Become familiar with each job estimate for general condition items and follow the direction of the General Superintendent regarding performing work within the boundaries of the estimate. Keep the General Superintendent apprised of any change in activity or cost prior to incurring additional time or materials outside of the project scope. Provide input on scheduling and placement of production crews. Plan and review the construction project with the General Superintendent and Project Manager on a weekly basis. Supervise the scheduling and completion of warranty issues. Assist the General Superintendent and Project Manager in the preparation of progress schedules, keep them properly updated, and ensure that everything feasible is done for the project to meet the required dates. Support the General Superintendent to ensure timely on-site delivery of materials and equipment furnished by the Company and subcontractors. Direct and train the field staff to ensure their continued development by use of performance evaluations, varying assignments, and promoting positive project morale.

Holiday Pay Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred. 2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in earthwork construction, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. 3. Strong understanding of earthwork principles, including grading, excavation, compaction, and erosion control. Experience with Underground Utility is a big Plus. 4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and engineering drawings. 5. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate teams. 6. Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, problem-solve, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment. 7. Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry. 8. Proficiency in using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite. 9. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed. 10. OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification preferred.
Requirements:
1. Safety Sensitive Position 2. Must be 18 years of age or older. 3. Must have reliable transportation. 4. Must have the ability to work extended hours as required by the workload. 5. Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and in all types of terrain. 6. Able to meet all physical requirements such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, bending, and lifting 50 pounds or more. 7. Ability to work around loud noises and can tolerate being exposed to odors, gasses, dust, etc. 8. Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, in confined spaces, and in excavated areas. 9.
