What You Will Be Doing Position Summary The Superintendent is responsible for the daily on-site coordination and execution of construction projects. This role ensures that all field activities are performed efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project plans, timelines, budgets, and company standards. The Superintendent serves as the point person on the ground, managing subcontractors, schedules, quality control, and compliance with safety regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Field Leadership & Oversight
  • Lead all on-site construction efforts from mobilization through closeout, ensuring work is performed safely, on time, and to company standards. Oversee and supervise the work of subcontractors, laborers, etc. and provide guidance in duties and responsibilities as needed
  • Coordination
  • Direct daily work of subcontractors and vendors; monitor productivity, adherence to scope, and sequencing to maintain schedule integrity. Collaborate with engineers, architects, office staff, etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Schedule Management
  • Develop and manage lookahead schedule, master schedule and anticipate delays or conflicts.
  • Quality Control
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure workmanship meets design intent, construction documents, and internal quality standards. Proactively identify and resolve punch-list items during the course of construction.
  • Safety & Compliance
  • Enforce safety protocols and conduct daily jobsite safety meetings. Maintain a clean and compliant jobsite aligned with OSHA standards and internal safety procedures.
  • Communication & Reporting
  • Provide consistent through daily field reports, photos, issue logs, and schedule updates. Participate in OAC (Owner-Architect-Contractor) meetings when required.
  • Authorize payment of subcontractors when all standards are met and upon thorough inspection of work completed and for materials received
  • Site Logistics & Planning
  • Plan and manage site access, staging areas, material deliveries, equipment operation, and storage. Coordinate utility installations, inspections, and temporary facilities. Determine essential resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) required to complete the project from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
  • Problem Solving & Conflict Resolution
  • Quickly assess field issues and make informed decisions or escalate when necessary to maintain progress and budget control.
  • Document Control
  • Ensure the latest drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders are maintained on-site and being used by all relevant trades.
  • Closeout & Turnover
  • Support final inspections, compile warranty documentation, and oversee subcontractor completion of punch list work to ensure timely turnover to operations or ownership. Qualifications & Skills
  • 10+ years of experience in construction, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or Site Supervisor role
  • Experience managing ground-up or renovation projects in residential, mixed-use, or hospitality developments
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, codes, processes, and sequencing
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred
  • High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field preferred
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
