Overview Norris Services & Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Field Superintendent to oversee multiple active construction projects throughout the Fort Smith and Northwest Arkansas region. This leadership position is responsible for managing day-to-day field operations, coordinating subcontractors and vendors, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety standards, and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate is a hands-on construction leader with experience in multifamily, commercial, site development, utilities, and ground-up construction. This individual must be highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, and committed to delivering quality work while maintaining strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and team members. This is not a single-project superintendent role. Candidates must have experience overseeing multiple active projects, coordinating several field teams, and balancing competing priorities simultaneously. Responsibilities Oversee field operations across multiple active construction projects. Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel. Maintain project schedules and proactively address delays or obstacles. Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, manpower, and production. Lead and mentor field superintendents, foremen, and construction crews. Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to ensure accurate execution. Coordinate inspections, utility providers, municipalities, and third-party consultants. Identify and resolve field issues before they impact project schedules or budgets. Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Ensure projects are built according to plans, specifications, and quality standards. Assist project managers with scheduling, sequencing, manpower planning, and project execution. Participate in owner meetings, subcontractor meetings, and project progress meetings. Manage project closeout, punch-list completion, and turnover activities. Maintain daily reports, progress updates, and project documentation. Provide regular communication and reporting to company leadership. QualificationsRequired Minimum 10 years of construction experience. Minimum 5 years of Superintendent or Senior Superintendent experience. Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Experience in multifamily, commercial, civil, sitework, utility, or ground-up construction. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, sequencing, and field operations. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, contracts, and schedules. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Valid driver's license and ability to travel between project locations. Preferred Experience with multifamily developments OSHA 30 Certification. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, or similar construction management software. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Experience managing projects exceeding $5 million.
