Job Description
Bridge & Rail Superintendent Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Bridge & Rail Superintendent to lead field operations on heavy civil infrastructure projects involving bridges, rail systems, structural concrete, steel erection, and related transportation construction. This role is responsible for supervising crews, coordinating subcontractors and equipment, maintaining schedules, and ensuring projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a strong field leader with bridge and/or railroad construction experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and is committed to delivering successful projects. Responsibilities Manage daily field operations for bridge and rail construction projects. Supervise crews, subcontractors, equipment, and site logistics. Coordinate project activities to maintain schedules and productivity goals. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. Work closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and railroad representatives. Monitor project progress, identify challenges, and implement field solutions. Conduct safety meetings, inspections, and daily reporting. Oversee structural concrete, steel erection, track work, and civil construction activities. Maintain a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and project execution. Qualifications Experience in bridge construction, railroad construction, or heavy civil infrastructure projects. Strong leadership and superintendent-level field management experience. Knowledge of bridge structures, rail systems, civil construction methods, and heavy equipment operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Familiarity with railroad safety standards and coordination requirements preferred. OSHA certification preferred. Willingness to travel and work extended hours as needed.
