Job Description
Job Summary The Construction Bid Coordinator supports the preconstruction and estimating team by supporting the preconstruction process for water and wastewater treatment plant construction projects. This role is responsible for coordinating bid invitations, managing subcontractor and supplier communications, organizing bid documents, supporting CMAR preconstruction deliverables, and assisting estimators with quantity takeoffs and proposal preparation. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and experienced with bid management and takeoff software.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the bid solicitation process for subcontractors and suppliers. Distribute plans, specifications, addenda, and other bid documents using SmartBid. Maintain and update subcontractor and supplier databases. Track subcontractor participation and follow up to ensure adequate bid coverage for all scopes of work. Maintain accurate records of bids received and assist with bid filing and tabulation. Assist estimators with quantity takeoffs using PlanSwift. Assist in assembling bid proposals and supporting documentation. Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers regarding bid opportunities, scope clarification, and deadlines. Maintain relationships with subcontractors specializing in water and wastewater construction trades. Assist with the collection of subcontractor qualification information. Track bid schedules, deadlines, and deliverables. Maintain historical bid records and project data for future reference. Collect information and maintain list of opportunities for future bids and proposals. Assist in development of CMAR manuals and bid packages. Assist in development of budget reports. Qualifications and Skills Ability to learn and be mentored Ability to multi-task Develop understanding of our business and services Possess uncompromising authenticity and integrity Communicates effectively and continuously Exceptional organizational skills and time management Actively promote TOLM's Safety Culture Displays great teamwork Proficient in Microsoft Office products Proficient in Project Management Software Proficient with SmartBid bid management software Experience with PlanSwift for construction quantity takeoffs Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and bid documents Education and Experience Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred. Relevant experience in construction bidding or estimating may substitute for formal education. Experience in heavy civil, water/wastewater, or infrastructure construction strongly preferred.Similar remote jobs
