Job Description

1st Choice Flooring is a growing flooring store with unlimited potential here in Northwest Arkansas. We are looking to add to our team since we have many projects getting ready to kick off this year and the next big project is just waiting for you and your skills. This is a fast paced, multi-tasking and ever-changing position. Being able to adapt to situations in the field on job sites, quickly solve problems and have great attention to detail are key to success in this position. Your focus will be checking job sites for readiness prior to installations, monitoring the quality of our installations, reviewing and creating punch lists from job sites, working with Installation Department for scheduling issues, identifying repairs and following up with customers once jobs are completed to ensure customer satisfaction with any issues, and assist support teams with other aspects of installation process. Managing Sub-contractors performance and quality checking their work will be required. Minor repair work may be an additional requirement. Working with the commercial teams to see commercial projects are coordinated with GCs, and building relationships with builders, Sub-contractors and sales team will be a key to success in this position. Complete paid training program and project skills training provided. Flooring experience not required, but basic construction knowledge will be an asset, we are happy to help you grow into the role! You just need an enjoyment of seeing projects completed on time, quality assurance and excellent customer follow-up. We're looking for a results-driven field supervisor to actively manage our installation projects. This position has management advancement opportunities, bonus program and is only limited by your work efforts. Detailed oriented is a must and able to adhere to policies and procedures. There is also a quarterly bonus program.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Overall:
Ensuring that the company's installation requirements are met from Installer Sub-contractors and quality of work is to our company standards. Building and maintaining relationships with site and management staff at job sites. Responding quickly and professionally to requests from customers in the field on the job sites. Determining any changes to the assigned scope of work including floor preparations and installations requirements to provide to Installation Assistant Manager and Sales Team. Assessing different conditions and determining potential issues and sharing those with the Sales Team and Installation Department for adding to work orders/sales agreements. Conducting field measures on large scale or difficult projects and detailing the scope of work needs or changes for flooring projects received from the Installation Department. Providing residential measures for Sales and Business Development Team. Providing expert resolution to installation issues raised by the Sub-contractors or customers on job sites. Ensuring safety of all staff and Installer Sub-contractors. Working with CEO and the VP of Business Development on special projects as needed.
Coaching Installation Sub-Contractors:
Evaluating Installation sub-contractors monthly or as needed by discussing any issues observed or experienced while performing their duties on job sites. Maintaining on-site inspections of work performed by Installation Sub-contractors and track performance issues and report to the Installation Department. Maintaining set standards for Installation Sub-contractors when on job sites and meeting contract cleaning requirements for large commercial job sites. Motivating and holding accountable Installation Sub-contractors as needed. Ensuring they are following all Installation Job Site Requirements. Assisting with Sub-contractor recruitment efforts through relationship building while gaining approval before adding any new sub-contractors to our company via VP Business Development. Assisting with Installation Sub-contractors understanding on proper procedures and policies for product check out/in procedures for products from warehouse and reporting damages/issues. Managing all Work Orders assigned from Installation Department (Commercial and Residential): Reviewing every job is updated in Our App or system with job photos upon completion and Sub-Contractors are trained on how to view attachments and attach photos in email for invoicing. Following and utilizing Work Order Request form and Job Readiness Checklist information to ensure the job is completed and accurate according to the details provided. Reporting any changes to Job Readiness or Install Request to the Installation Assistant Manager. Conducting on-going Job Site completion procedures: Ensuring that all procedures are being followed Collecting Customer/GC signatures on Finalized work order/punchlist form if applicable. Updating with Photos of completed jobs into job order notes and notify VP of Development if a job is a candidate for marketing usage. Managing all Damage and Claim incidents with the warehouse and Installation Assistant Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma Computer skills in Outlook, Excel and other basic office software required Strong customer service and communication skills Outstanding leadership, organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills Valid Drivers' license (must be over 21 years of age) Available to work extended hours and weekends Bi-lingual with English and Spanish a plus
