Job Description

Job Overview The Project Manager is responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects. This role serves as the primary point of contact between the client, design team, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. The Project Manager ensures the project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with the company's quality standards and client expectations. Duties Review project documents, drawings, and specifications to understand scope and requirements. In collaboration with the Superintendent and Scheduler develop and maintain detailed project schedules, milestones, and deliverables. Assist in budgeting, estimating, and value engineering during the preconstruction phase. Participate in subcontractor selection, bid evaluations, and contract negotiations. Support preconstruction lead by the Director of Preconstruction. Lead project kickoff meetings. Monitor weekly progress with the Project Engineer and Superintendent to ensure compliance with schedule and procurement tracking. Collaborate with finance to create monthly cost to complete reports and review the business unit Project Director. Manage all project financials including pay requests, subcontractor and vendor billing, change orders and mitigate financial risks. Oversee and train, when necessary, the Project Engineer in the management of RFI submissions, procurement tracking, submittals, and project documentation. Resolve project issues, delays, and conflicts through proactive problem-solving. Serve as the primary liaison to the client and key stakeholders. Maintain regular communication with owners, architects, and consultants. Prepare and lead project update meetings, progress reports, and presentations. Ensure client satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally. Supervise and mentor Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, and support staff. Lead Bi-Annual performance reviews and provide coaching and professional development for team members. Foster a collaborative, team-oriented project culture. Collaborate with the Superintendent to manage field activities and workforce. Promote company values and ensure alignment with organizational goals. Collaborate with the safety team to ensure implementation of site-specific safety plans. Report safety incidents or violations and support continuous improvement. Requirements A bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, or engineering OSHA 30 required Negotiation skills required in negotiating price of materials, labor costs, and contract terms and conditions
  • Time Management skills to meet tight deadlines and strict schedules Ability to maintain and execute construction schedule with customers, vendors and employees
  • Leadership qualities to effectively lead and manage teams
  • Organized, neat, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks and problem solve Possess strong computer skills in MS Excel, MS Outlook and construction software Ability to read and understand construction documents
  • Knowledge of current construction practices, procedures, and safety requirements Communicate effectively with company personnel, clients and vendors at all company levels Knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes Hotel and/or commercial construction experience preferred
