Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to lead the estimating and preconstruction efforts for complex commercial and/or multi family construction projects in the Phoenix metro area. This role is critical to delivering accurate budgets, competitive bids, and a smooth handoff from preconstruction to operations.

Key ResponsibilitiesLead all preconstruction activities from conceptual budgeting through GMP and contract awardPrepare and oversee detailed cost estimates, value engineering, and constructability reviewsManage subcontractor outreach, bid solicitation, and scope levelingCollaborate with owners, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to align design, budget, and scheduleAnalyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify risks and opportunitiesDevelop and maintain preconstruction schedules and milestone trackingPresent estimates, cost updates, and options clearly to executives and clientsSupport project turnover to operations and remain engaged through early constructionQualifications7+ years of experience in preconstruction and/or estimating for commercial or multi-family constructionProven experience delivering conceptual and detailed estimates through GMPStrong understanding of construction means and methodsProficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office (Excel required)Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneouslyBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferredBenefitsCompetitive Base Salary401(k) with company matchMedical/Dental/Vision insuranceEmployee assistance programFlexible spending accountLife insurancePaid time offProfessional development assistance
