The Resident Services Coordinator II plays a key role in helping residents thrive. You will lead on-site programs, track outcomes, and connect residents with the resources they need to remain stable and successful. This is an on-site position. Vista Alegre is an affordable housing community for seniors in Glendale, AZ. The ideal candidate will be English/Spanish bilingual and have social services experience.
Pay:
$21.21-23.50/hour, dependent on experience. English/Spanish bilingual candidates preferred. Maintain all reporting requirements set by funding and/or government agencies. Evaluate outcomes of programs and services delivered on a regular basis as required. Develop a comprehensive understanding of residents (conduct needs assessments, community meetings, etc.) in order to be able to offer residents the opportunity to assist their community and to guide them towards appropriate services and resources. Participate in and/or lead activities within Mercy Housing and in collaboration with partner agencies that build professional capacity and enhance working relationships. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience in community development, social services, or related field. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years experience working with individuals with mental health issues. Two (2) years working with senior and developmentally disabled populations. Bachelor's Degree in a related field. Experience conducting community assessments, applying the principles of conflict management, and organizing community groups, events, or programs. Knowledge and Skills Work collaboratively with others in a team environment, respecting the perspectives and contributions of others. Demonstrate a high level of verbal, writing, and listening skills. Proficient with MS Office (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook). Maintain confidentiality and to obtain appropriate release of information as necessary. Able to work with people with mental health, disability, substance abuse, legal, and financial issues.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Physical:
Must be able to push/pull object less than 30 pounds, walk, climb stairs and enter/exit buildings that are under construction, occasionally, without normal ingress/egress available.
Sensory:
Ability to read fine print on documents. Able to speak clearly and make self-understood, while also understanding others using the English language.
Cognitive:
Ability to understand and relate to concepts behind specific ideas and remember multiple tasks/assignments given to others over a period of days. Able to concentrate on moderate detail in both office and field with moderate interruption. Able to attend task/function for more than 60 minutes at a time.
