Job Description

Job Summary The Site Construction Manager will be responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities related to the installation, hook-up, and commissioning of Chemical Dispense Systems (also known as Chemical Delivery Systems or Chemical Mechanical Planarization
  • CMP Slurry Systems) in new or existing manufacturing facilities.
The manager will ensure projects are executed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, particularly those required for a cleanroom environment .
Responsibilities Project Execution:
Manage and coordinate all site construction activities, including subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams, to ensure adherence to project schedules and technical specifications.
Safety & Compliance:
Implement and enforce strict Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards, especially regarding the handling of hazardous chemicals and working in cleanrooms. Ensure all work complies with local codes, regulations, and client standards.
Quality Control:
Oversee installation quality for critical CDS components, including high-purity piping (e.g., UPVC, PVDF, PFA) , bulk chemical tanks, day tanks, pumps, valves, and control systems. Conduct regular site inspections and manage the punch list process.
Resource Management:
Optimize the deployment of labor, equipment, and materials. Manage site logistics, laydown areas, and coordinate with general contractors and other trades (e.g., mechanical, electrical, instrumentation).
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, change orders, and as-built documentation. Communicate project status, risks, and issues clearly and proactively to project stakeholders.
Commissioning Support:
Coordinate closely with commissioning and startup teams to facilitate smooth system turnover, including pre-functional checks (PFCs) and functional performance testing (FPT).
Required Qualifications and Experience Education:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent extensive experience will be considered.
Experience:
Minimum of 5-7 years of construction management experience, with at least 3 years directly managing site activities for high-purity utility systems or chemical delivery infrastructure .
Technical Knowledge:
Deep understanding of construction practices, P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), construction drawings, and specifications for fluid handling systems.
Communication:
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage a diverse team of site personnel and interface effectively with the client. Preferred Qualifications Industry Experience (Highly Preferred): Significant experience in the semiconductor manufacturing (FAB) industry, specifically managing the construction or installation of CDS, Slurry, and Gas systems in Class 100/1000 cleanroom environments.
Piping Systems:
Expertise in orbital welding and heat fusion techniques for high-purity plastic piping (e.g., PVDF, PFA, ECTFE) .
Language:
Mandarin speaking will be a plus. Work Environment This role is primarily site-based, requiring significant time spent in a construction environment and potentially a cleanroom setting. Ability to travel to various project sites as required.
