Job Summary:
The Construction Coordinator will use their knowledge of the production process, permitting processes, pole applications, and reports to create daily and weekly production schedules. They must also be able to comprehend reports and make recommendations about where improvements can be made. The Construction Coordinator will directly coordinate with in-house and contract resources to ensure that Company objectives are achieved and that all deadlines are met. They must be able to multi-task and provide quick responses to construction challenges. The Construction Coordinator must know how to coordinate and adjust resources to ensure that team members, contractors, and materials are utilized most effectively. They must understand the construction buildout and be able to ensure the network is constructed to Wecom Fiber standards. The candidate must have a good aptitude for using software and computers to generate reports, manage permit/pole application submissions, and create schedules.
Responsibilities:
? Coordinate and direct construction contract crews and subcontractors ? Create and maintain production schedules ? Ensure construction resources (employees, contractors, materials) are properly planned to meet project goals and deadlines ? Use software to generate progress trackers, schedules, and other reports ? Track construction production using OSP construction management software or spreadsheet-based tools ? Review contractor work progress and resources daily ? Apply, submit, and track permits and pole applications ? Provide quick responses to production issues or other project challenges ? Ensure quality OSP construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques ? Identify problems and help improve processes ? Support QC inspections and reporting for complete fieldwork ? Support as-built activities with inspections, red-lining maps, and other related work ? Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
? Experience in design, engineering, permit, pole application, and construction production ? Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks ? Excellent time and project management skills ? Proven OSP construction management work experience in the telecom field ? Expert knowledge of
OSP FTTH
products, construction equipment, design, and OSHA safety ? Advanced knowledge of OSP telecom construction management processes, means and methods ? Ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions ? Familiarity with construction management software packages ? Ability to track and manage multiple crews ? Competence in conflict and crisis management ? A desire to promote the success of the organization, production staff and contractors ? Local to AZ or willing to relocate
