We're one global team driven by our common purpose to deliver a better world. Join us. Job Description AECOM is seeking a Project Manager / Construction Manager to be based in San Luis Obispo, CA . This role will focus on Educational Projects in Southern California. AECOM's Program Management (PgM) business line is a global leader in delivering complex, large-scale programs across diverse sectors. Duties:
Resolves complex construction project related issues, disputes, and disagreements Reviews status and overall construction project progress relative to submitted construction schedules Reviews change orders from all construction projects and assesses their impact Assists Client management staff with bid and contract planning Assesses bid specifications according to Client needs and probability of completion under stated timeline Reviews status and monitors variances of the construction project database relative to scheduling and cost control reporting Reviews and verifies submitted applications for payment and performs overall fiscal management of multiple construction projects Provides functional direction over areas of responsibility including construction project schedules, cost control, dispute resolution, contract administration, and quality control Reviews and monitors overall administration of contracts for Architects and related consultants Coordinates program activities with other Client organizational branches and departments such as the Office of Environmental Health and Safety, Design and A/E Technical Support, Asset Management Branch, Contract Administration, Inspection Unit, Maintenance and Operations Reviews and takes recommended actions in resolving disputes relative to construction projects Actively manages General Contractors in the field Project reporting Manage staffQualifications Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS + 4
Years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or educationPreferred Experience:
Seven years of professional experience managing the facilities design, or the planning and coordination of capital projects that includes the overall design, contract administration, cost estimating, and scheduling activities Five years of experience with healthcare facilities design, planning and construction In field management of General Contractors Experience utilizing Building Information Modeling (BIM) Experience with construction management Design-Build, progressive design build, Manage projects $90M and above, local worker PLAs, prevailing wage / DIR experience, public works projects, DSA experience Graduation from a recognized college or university with an architecture, engineering or construction management Additional courses in business administration, public relations, accounting, school finance, personnel management, educational facilities planning, and communication are preferredPreferred Licenses and Certificates:
A valid Certificate of Registration as an Architect by the California State Architectural Board or Professional Engineer by the State Board for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors A valid Construction Manager (CCM) credential by the Construction Manager Certification Institute (CMCI) LEED Professional Accreditation Additional Information Relocation is not available for this role Sponsorship is not offered at this time or in the future AboutAECOM AECOM
