Job Description

Position Overview The Program Manager oversees residential and day treatment programs serving adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This role is responsible for program operations, staff supervision, participant services, regulatory compliance, budgeting, facility management, and ensuring high-quality, person-centered care. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of one or more residential and/or day treatment programs. Supervise Coordinators, Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), and other assigned staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, performance management, and employee development. Ensure adequate staffing levels and quality service delivery based on participant needs. Oversee participant activities, transportation, support services, and implementation of Individual Support Plans (ISPs) and Behavior Treatment Plans (BTPs). Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and collaborate with participants, families, guardians, support coordinators, and community partners. Monitor compliance with licensing standards, funding requirements, organizational policies, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations. Maintain accurate participant records, incident reports, and program documentation. Manage program budgets, payroll approvals, purchasing, petty cash, and other administrative functions. Ensure facilities, equipment, and vehicles are safe, properly maintained, and compliant with applicable standards. Respond to participant crises and operational issues while promoting participant rights, safety, and well-being. Required Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Minimum six (6) years of experience working with adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in residential or day treatment settings. Minimum four (4) years of supervisory and program management experience in the IDD field. Knowledge of Arizona DDD systems, ISP implementation, documentation requirements, and habilitation or recreational services. Valid Arizona driver's license and ability to operate agency vehicles. Ability to obtain and maintain CPR, First Aid, MOTS, CIT I & II certifications and a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Special Education, Psychology, Sociology, Vocational Rehabilitation, Human Services, or a related field. Additional supervisory experience. Bilingual English/Spanish skills. Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb stairs and assist participants as needed. Ability to remain calm and supportive during emergencies and crisis situations. Position Summary The Program Manager leads residential and day treatment services for adults with developmental disabilities by overseeing staff, operations, compliance, budgeting, and participant supports while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
