This role combines construction project oversight with maintenance team leadership. You will manage the full lifecycle of unit readiness from larger turn projects to ongoing handyman repairs. Ensuring all work is completed efficiently, on time, and to a high standard. This pivotal role includes scheduling technicians, coordinating daily work activities, and overseeing all aspects of project execution. You will also be responsible for billing and financial tracking, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely invoicing to support the company's financial health. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in both construction and accounting principles, with experience managing timesheets, job costing, and invoicing. Proficiency in QuickBooks and AppFolio is required. This position is closely integrated with construction operations. Responsibilities Schedule and manage maintenance technicians, client appointments, and daily work orders Oversee unit turns, repairs, and light renovation projects from start to finish Ensure all work is completed on time, within scope, and meets quality standards Translate construction scopes and plans into clear, actionable information for tenants and property owners Monitor project progress, communicate updates, and ensure alignment with expectations Manage end-to-end maintenance workflows in AppFolio, from initial tenant request and vendor coordination to owner approval and final invoicing Generate estimates and process invoicing using QuickBooks, including data entry, reconciliation, and financial tracking Maintain accurate records of timesheets, job progress, expenses, and billing transactions Communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking technicians, including translating job details, instructions, and expectations as needed Experience Must have strong construction knowledge with the ability to understand terminology, coordinate work, and clearly communicate scopes of work to clients, owners, and vendors Proven experience managing unit turns, renovations, or construction/maintenance projects from start to finish Experience scheduling and supervising technicians, vendors, or field teams in a fast-paced environment Construction accounting or operations experience with a strong focus on billing, invoicing, and job costing Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks Excellent negotiation skills coupled with strong phone etiquette and customer service Experience using property or maintenance platforms such as AppFolio is highly preferred We value energetic professionals who thrive on accuracy, efficiency, and collaboration, ready to make an impact every day!
