Job Description
Our client is seeking a highly experienced General Superintendent to lead and oversee construction activities for large-scale water treatment plant projects throughout the region. This is a senior-level position responsible for ensuring project execution meets the highest standards of safety, quality, scheduling, and cost control. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep expertise in managing complex civil and mechanical infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Provide overall on-site leadership and direction for water treatment plant construction projects. Manage day-to-day field operations, including subcontractor oversight, scheduling, logistics, and quality control. Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, regulatory requirements, and company standards. Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and client representatives to maintain clear communication and resolve issues proactively. Review and interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Monitor construction progress, manage resources, and proactively adjust plans to meet project milestones. Mentor and develop field staff to support a culture of excellence and teamwork. Qualifications Minimum 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent , specifically overseeing water treatment plant construction projects . Proven background managing complex infrastructure, utility, or heavy civil projects. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, mechanical systems, process piping, concrete work, and environmental compliance. Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders. Strong commitment to safety and quality. Proficiency in construction management software, scheduling tools, and daily reporting systems is a plus.
