This is a full P&L leadership role — not a senior project manager with a new title. You will build the team, protect margin, and be accountable for execution on every project across the region.
What You'll Own Talent Development:
Hire, train, and build a PM bench that runs without you
Operations Oversight:
Enforce KPIs, daily reporting, and accountability — no exceptions
Vendor & Subcontractors:
Vet, contract, and train subs before they touch a project
Pre-Production Review:
Approve plans, contracts, and bids before anything launches
Permitting Acceleration:
Cut time-to-start through permit mastery and inspection sequencing
Financial Oversight:
Own the P&L — enforce contracts, protect margin, stop scope creep
Client Relationships:
Handle escalations personally and enforce the five-star standard
Process Improvement:
Identify friction, propose fixes, own adoption across the team Required Experience 5+ years in construction, trade operations, or home improvement 3+ years managing project managers or field supervisors Direct P&L ownership — you've lived inside the numbers Proven track record hiring and developing operations talent Subcontractor management: vetting, contracting, accountability Systems-oriented — builds process and holds the line Based in or relocating to Southern California Preferred Pool, landscaping, or outdoor living background Experience opening a new regional office or market SoCal permit and inspection process familiarity High-end or luxury residential construction experience Established SoCal subcontractor network in key trades Lean ops or continuous improvement background Compensation Total comp: $200K-$975K+ Performance-driven structure — your earnings scale with regional results Paid quarterly Pool industry experience is a plus, not a requirement.
