Specific experience in sheet metal, cladding, glazing, and/or building envelope required. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your leadership skills and technical knowledge in a fast-paced construction setting.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for a "driven" individual that knows how to manage and maintain multiple projects and schedules. Someone that possesses leadership skills with the energy and drive to push projects, tasks, vendors, people, and dates to completion. The candidate must be organized and know how to effectively manage project schedules in MS Project, Smartsheet or equivalent project management software. JOB OVERVIEW
Generalized duties include: Planning, directing, and coordinating onsite & offsite activities including shop drawings, submittals, scheduling, change orders, budgeting, procurement, project sequencing, and multi-trade coordination. Additional knowledge in MS Word, Excel and Outlook is required to successfully execute job duties. The standard work schedule will be Monday through Friday. Overtime and some weekend work may be required from time to time on an as needed basis. This position reports to a Sr. Project Manager.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree and/or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent preferred.
LICENSING
Valid Driver's License
EXPERIENCE
3+ years' experience in Project Management within the construction industry.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Candidates must be able to… Effectively communicate both written and verbally, daily, throughout all levels of the organization both internally and externally. This includes Project Stakeholders, General Contractors, Customers and other Trade Partners or Subcontractors. Thrive in a fast-paced environment, can multitask with ease, and work well under pressure. Poses the ability to understand and interpret basic shop drawings and architectural plans. Coordinate project requirements with Clients, Architect, Vendors, Sub-Contractors, etc… which may include facilitating meetings and job site visits. Obtaining Vendor / Supplier quotations. Comparing, negotiating and purchasing project related materials & services. Reviewing RFI's, submitting Change Order Requests, maintain project files (digital & analog). The ability to push to get the project completed. Budget & Schedule monitoring and maintenance. Generate and prepare Project Correspondence and General Project Administration, including but not limited to preparation of Contracts, RFI's, Schedules, Change Orders and Submittals, Close-Out documents. Prepare documentation and releases for manufacturing as required. Follow a standard Project Management process to successfully execute on projects in a timely and within budget. Be punctual. Work additional overtime hours and weekends as necessary. Work as a team and communicate well with others. Employ and display "lead by example" mentality. As the organization grows or slows, duties may be revised. Candidate must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. The selected candidate may be required to successfully complete a post-offer, pre-employment drug test and, where permitted by law, a post-offer criminal background check. Because this position may require travel to multiple jobsites throughout Southern California, candidates must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record acceptable under the company's auto insurance requirements.
COMPENSATION PACKAGE
Compensation will range from $65,000 to $87,000 per year based on your specific experience and specific qualifications. Additional benefits are available including PTO, a company cost shared medical plan, dental, vision and 401k.
