Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE
Calimingo Pools builds luxury residential pools across Southern California. We're hiring a Regional Manager to lead residential construction operations, grow revenue, and run a high-performing PM team across Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. This is not a project management role with a new title. You will own the region's P&L, build the team, and be directly accountable for margin, client experience, and execution — on every project, across the entire region.
EIGHT DOMAINS. ONE OPERATING STANDARD.
You own all eight. These are operating requirements — not aspirations. Talent Development — Hire, train & build a PM bench that runs without you Operations Oversight — Enforce KPIs, daily reports & accountability — no exceptions Vendor & Subcontractors — Vet, contract & train subs before they touch a project Pre-Production Review — Approve plans, contracts & bids before anything launches Permitting Acceleration — Cut time-to-start through permit mastery & inspection sequencing Financial Oversight — Own the P&L — enforce contracts, protect margin, stop scope creep Client Relationships — Handle escalations personally & enforce the five-star standard Process Improvement — Identify friction, propose fixes, own adoption across the team
REQUIRED
5+ years in residential construction or specialty trade operations (pool, landscaping, outdoor living, roofing, plumbing, or similar) 3+ years managing project managers or field supervisors in a construction environment Experience within CSLB-licensed construction operations Direct P&L ownership — lived inside the numbers, not just reported them Subcontractor management: vetting, contracting, field accountability Proven track record hiring & developing operations talent Systems-oriented — builds process and holds the line on adoption Based in or relocating to Southern California
PREFERRED
Pool, landscaping, or outdoor living construction background High-end or luxury residential construction experience SoCal permit & inspection process familiarity (OC, LA, SD) Established SoCal subcontractor network in key trades Experience opening a new regional office or market Lean ops or continuous improvement background
WHEN YOU APPLY
Please answer the following in your application: Describe your experience managing residential construction subcontractors — how you vetted them, how you held them accountable, and what happened when they underperformed. Applications without a response to this question will not be reviewed. Pool industry experience is a plus, not a requirement. We train on the product. We can't train construction leadership.
Pay:
$200,000.00 - $975,000.00 per year
Benefits:
Opportunities for advancement Application Question(s): Have you had direct P&L ownership in a previous role? How many subcontractors have you directly managed at one time? Are you currently based in Southern California, or are you actively planning to relocate?
Experience:
Construction, trade operations, or home improvement: 5 years (Required) Managing Construction Project managers or field supervisors: 3 years (Required)
