Job Description

Company Overview We represent a well-established General Contractor in the Los Angeles, CA area with over 20+ years of experience specializing in Ground-up, Tilt-up, and Light Industrial construction projects. With a portfolio of over 100 successful projects in the light industrial sector, the company has earned a strong reputation for excellence and maintains a robust pipeline of upcoming projects. Focused on fostering long-term client relationships, the company assigns Superintendents to projects near their residences within Southern California. Job Summary As a Construction Superintendent , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will oversee on-site field administration, supervision, and technical management of all construction activities. This position involves coordinating and managing assistants, foremen, subcontractors, and other field personnel to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with the Project Manager to ensure projects meet quality and scheduling goals. Provide on-site field administration and technical management throughout the project lifecycle. Oversee the scope of work, assisting in the development of detailed CPM schedules. Approve employee timecards and manage labor costs. Schedule and oversee all required inspections to ensure compliance. Coordinate and document punch-list completion. Monitor and control general condition costs and material budgets. Develop and implement project site logistics plans. Schedule and manage trade and material deliveries. Assist with the bid process and produce project reports, including RFI logs, daily reports, and safety reports. Lead safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and providing on-site leadership for safety programs.
Qualifications Experience:
Tilt-up, Light Industrial, Ground-up project experience Understanding full scope of project from beginning to end and familiar with one of the following types in regards to Light Industrial, Tilt-up, Ground-up projects. Extensive knowledge of construction delivery systems, building trades, materials, and systems. Previous experience as a journeyman or foreman carpenter can also be valued but not required Proven ability to direct and coordinate subcontractors and field personnel effectively.
Skills:
Strong organizational and prioritization skills. Proficiency in project management tools like Procore, P6, and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Requirements:
Certifications in CPR and First Aid. OSHA 10-hour safety training (required). Valid motor vehicle driving record meeting company and insurance standards. Ability to work in varying weather conditions and meet the physical demands of the job.
