CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT
in
LATHROP, CA.
As a Construction Superintendent you will: Work closely with members of Construction Management, Design Engineering, Facility Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Facility Operation, and Production Operation departments from planning, through installation and the start of production. Supervise all on-site construction including scheduling of trade contractors, resolving day-to-day construction issues, performing day-to-day inspections, and always maintaining safety to ensure compliance with plans and specifications while tracking project schedule. Takes ownership of assigned projects, drives field execution of work, and ensures the means and methods of construction meet Specifications Evaluates plans, builds project schedules, supports submittal reviews, writes RFIs and coordinates in-field shutdowns with project stakeholders Maintains effective communication with company personnel, including QC, QA, CX, and Facilities Coordinates field execution with all contractors, establishes dimensional layout/control, verify installation material in the field matches the design documents and ensures contractor as-builts are accurately captured Maintains a safe/clean work site, identifies and correct safety hazards/violations and coordinates with appropriate stakeholders to quickly resolve field clashes Reviews project plans, P&ID's, single-line diagrams, and determine the feasibility of construction as well as potential value engineering opportunities Manages multiple work fronts simultaneously while adhering to company specifications, procedures, and policies This is a Full time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 5 years of construction or Manufacturing experience in large industrial construction projects in Manufacturing, Oil & Gas, Chemicals, Refining, Pharmaceuticals, Semiconductors, Data Center or equivalent high-tech facilities High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam and scheduling software (Microsoft Projects) able to identify and implement the best method to communicate or plan a project and scopes Preferred Skills & Qualifications Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or equivalent experience Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation skills, OSHA 30 certification (or equivalent); current First Aid and CPR Certification, or be willing to be certified Willingness to spend a high percentage of time in the field and to get hands dirty as needed to complete objectives or find the correct information Ability to work within a high-performance, cross-functional organization with extremely tight timelines and aggressive goals
