English Required, Spanish Preferred About Us A-1 Construction & Designs is a well-established construction company specializing in residential and commercial projects throughout Los Angeles. We are seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent / Site Manager to oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinate subcontractors, maintain project schedules, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong construction knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple trades while keeping projects on schedule and within budget. Key Responsibilities/Project Site Management Oversee daily construction activities at assigned job sites Manage and coordinate subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and field personnel Ensure all work is performed according to plans, specifications, building codes, and company standards Monitor project schedules and proactively address delays or conflicts Conduct daily site inspections and quality control reviews Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site Coordinate material deliveries and ensure proper storage and handling Scheduling & Coordination Work closely with Project Managers and Office Staff to maintain project timelines Schedule subcontractors and coordinate trade sequencing Coordinate city inspections, utility inspections, and required project milestones Review construction drawings, specifications, and change orders Assist in planning project activities and identifying potential issues before they impact the schedule Safety & Compliance Enforce job site safety policies and OSHA requirements Conduct regular safety meetings and job site walkthroughs Ensure all subcontractors comply with safety standards and project requirements Maintain required site documentation and daily reports Address safety concerns immediately and document incidents when necessary Client & Team Communication Serve as the primary on-site representative of the company Communicate project progress with clients, project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors Maintain professional relationships with homeowners, business owners, and project stakeholders Assist in resolving field issues, conflicts, and construction challenges Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily logs and progress reports Document project activities with photos and written updates Track labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor performance Report schedule updates, delays, and field issues to management Assist with project closeout, punch lists, and final inspections Qualifications Required Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent, Site Manager, Foreman, or similar leadership role Strong understanding of residential and commercial construction practices Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and construction documents Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors Strong leadership and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and organizational abilities Valid California Driver's License and reliable transportation Ability to work independently and manage multiple active projects Preferred Experience with high-end residential remodeling and new construction Knowledge of Los Angeles building and inspection processes OSHA Certification Bilingual English/Spanish Experience using construction management software How to Apply Please submit your resume, a brief introduction, and your salary expectations through Indeed, or email directly to: Candidates with extensive field management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing construction projects will receive priority consideration.
