Job Description

Field Supervisor - HG EMS Field Supervisor Position Summary The Field Supervisor - HG EMS Field Supervisor is responsible for conducting on-site facility and building system assessments across District sites. This role involves identifying and documenting building components, evaluating system conditions, and supporting facility condition assessment activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction knowledge, field survey experience, and the ability to collaborate effectively with construction management teams, campus staff, and trade surveyors. Key Responsibilities Identify and collect data related to building components and systems installed at District sites. Utilize tablets, laptops, smartphones, and other digital tools to record and manage survey data. Apply construction knowledge and field experience to identify building systems located behind walls, ceilings, and floors. Assess the overall condition and remaining service life (RSL) of building systems and components in accordance with District standards and FCA Unit guidance. Collaborate with trade surveyors and project teams to gather quantities, measurements, and supporting field information. Conduct and support ad hoc building and facility surveys as required. Provide guidance and support to staff and survey participants, and supervise field personnel when necessary. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely reporting of assessment findings. Minimum Qualifications Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field. OR Candidates without a bachelor's degree must possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience. Up to four years of additional experience may be substituted in place of the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Experience Minimum of 6 years of full-time paid professional experience working with on-site construction management teams. Experience coordinating with campus administrators, faculty, staff, and facility stakeholders. Strong understanding of building systems, construction methods, and facility assessments. Preferred Skills Experience performing Facility Condition Assessments (FCA). Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in field environments. Proficiency with digital data collection tools and reporting systems. Knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and life-cycle assessment practices. #INDW3
