This role serves as the on-site leader, coordinating subcontractors, managing schedules, maintaining safety standards, and ensuring quality workmanship throughout all phases of construction. Projects may include commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, educational campuses, public works projects, multifamily developments, municipal facilities, and tenant improvement projects. The ideal candidate has strong commercial construction experience and can effectively manage multiple trades while maintaining project schedules, safety, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Manage daily field operations from project startup through final completion. Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and field personnel to ensure project milestones are achieved. Develop and maintain short-term and long-range look-ahead schedules. Monitor project progress and proactively address schedule impacts and field challenges. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and quality standards. Maintain a safe jobsite and enforce OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Lead subcontractor coordination meetings, safety meetings, and daily planning sessions. Review construction drawings and identify potential constructability issues before they impact project progress. Coordinate inspections, testing, and regulatory approvals throughout the project lifecycle. Manage site logistics, deliveries, material staging, and workforce planning. Track daily production and maintain project documentation, reports, and field logs. Collaborate with Project Managers to monitor project budgets, schedules, and overall project performance. Oversee punch list completion, project turnover, and closeout activities. Foster positive working relationships with clients, architects, consultants, and project stakeholders. Qualifications 7-15+ years of construction experience with at least 5 years serving as a Superintendent for a general contractor. Strong experience managing ground-up commercial construction projects required. Experience with healthcare, education, public works, municipal, multifamily, or institutional projects highly desirable. Proven ability to manage projects from site mobilization through final turnover. Strong understanding of construction sequencing, scheduling, subcontractor management, and field operations. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Experience coordinating multiple trades and managing large field teams. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage fast-paced projects while maintaining quality and safety standards. Proficiency with construction management software and project reporting tools. Preferred Qualifications Experience with K-12 schools, higher education facilities, healthcare facilities, civic buildings, or public infrastructure projects. Experience on projects ranging from $10M to $100M+. OSHA 30 certification preferred. First Aid/CPR certification preferred. Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field is a plus.
